Greater than great is Skarra Mucci’s fifth full album and it takes off with the title track ‘Greater than great’ (briljant video). This track directly takes you back in the days of earlie 90s Dancehall music and sets the trend for the rest of the album. ‘Not impossible to me’ continues on that 90s flavour and is an obvious hommage to Sister Nancy’s legendary tune ‘Bam Bam’ ‘Come fi take ova’ is one of the highlights of the album for sure. Skarra’s voice is made for this tune, powerful and militant. All three songs come with classic style riddims and Skarra proves to be one of the most original artists around these days. ‘Love train’ is in a different ‘feel good’ style and a nice combo with A-lex. The uptempo dancing riddim (sweet trumpets!) give this tune some serious hit potential and that’s exactly what this artists needs to get his name across to the massive. ‘Boxing’ easily lives up to the expectations set by the first three tunes and fits easily in Skarra’s Ragga muffin style. This tune will get the massive to dance fi sure. Skarra is going Dancehall style for ‘Marijuana’ and this tune proves the diversity of Skarra. One of our favorite Riddims ‘Stop that train’ is used for a massive collabo with Perfect. The tune is called ‘Bomboclaat’ and this combination will turn the dancehall in a madhouse for sure. Teacha Dee reporting for duty on the next combo track ‘Inna di Dancehall’ also on a classic riddim with some sweet baselines. The people Forward inna di dancehall when they here tha boom chune a play. ‘Life so rich’ and ‘Dancehall energy’ are two different tunes but yet they are the same. They will make the massive move for sure! Pure energy coming from Skarra. ‘Get Gal’ is for the ladies inna Dancehall stylie. ‘War dem a Get’ a militant dancehall tune which will blow your speakers. A musical explosion. ‘Red’ is a combination tune with Teacha Dee. The absolute highlight of the album (in our humble opinion) is ‘My Sound’ (Fantastic video!!). Skarra is going all out on this one . This tune has some serious hit potential. Again carried by a sweet old skool reggae riddim, this album is a real treat to the oldskool reggae lovers.’Tear drops’ is a serious one alongside Madinka Warrior and A-lex. ‘Bubbler’ closes the album in Dancehall style.
