Little Pepe was born and raised in Malaga, southern Spain. If in the past, names like Big Hozone, Hablando en Plata Squad or Triple XXX put this city on the map for Hip Hop, now the time has come for it's Reggae acts. Little Pepe is one of the three members of Pinnacle Rockers (alongside Shabu One Shant & Ijah), whose music is moving fresh anywhere between Reggae and Hip Hop.
Little Pepe is a real hardworking artist who has slowly build up his own style: genuine Conscious Reggae with a straight positive message.
A couple of years ago, Morodo, the most successful spanish Reggae artist to the moment, asked Little Pepe to join him on his performances as back-up vocalist. This worked out quite well also to establish properly Pepe's own career and gave him the opportunity to perform all around Spain. Due to the good responses, now, two years later he has reached the necessity of going on by himself.

The Spanish Reggae market nowadays goes way further than the proper Spanish border. For some time now the majority of South American countries pay close attention to the actual Spanish scene. That is also why Pepe and Shabu are already considered real Reggae icons over there, walking on the very same path which was opened by Morodo only a few years ago. In fact, Little Pepe has already played a couple of shows in Chile and Venezuela, sharing stage with Morodo and Kafu Banton, The top Reggae artist from Panama, in front of literally thousands of people.
In 2008 Pepe released a street album called “Ponle Mente”, which without almost any kind of promotion reached more than 150.000 downloads to the moment, demostrating once again the great potential of this young uprising artist.
Currently, Little Pepe is finishing works for his first official release which will be launched by Germaica Iberia (the newly created sub-label of Germaican Records) in form of a Split album in collaboration with Shabu One Shant in October of 2009. |
